The bathtub was rebuilt with wire and polyester resin, making the repair immersion capable and water tight. The repair was a difficult process, bonding to porcelain is not like bonding to metal or fiberglass. I am in no way saying it's as perfect as a factory tub in looks. However, it turned out extremely nice and the end video shows the glossy, dry tub.

I chemically bonded a new glossy, white liquid porcelain with polyester surface to the entire tub. The new surface is a 5H pencil hardness that is made specifically for Dallas bathtub refinishing.
